Awesome new find for us! Fun atmosphere is great for family outings, office parties, etc. The Pines restaurant is on the smaller side and has a nice intimate feel. This is a family run establishment and they do a great job creating a warm, welcoming environment. There was no shortage of smiles both from all the staff and the patrons all around us. The food is excellent! We don't eat Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food often (we had Google searched Greek food), so this was a welcome change, and adventure for the taste buds. The appetizers were varied and all delicious, and the beef and chicken dishes were prepared perfectly and very tender. We left very full. Prices were fair, and choices plentiful, including vegetarian options for those interested. We look forward to going back again.
Overview
Walking into Sufrat Mediterranean Grill feels like stepping into a place where food is treated with patience and respect. The first thing I noticed was the smell of warm spices drifting from the kitchen, followed closely by the sound of meat sizzling on the grill. Located at 10430 Pines Blvd Ste#c101, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026, United States, this spot has become a regular stop for locals who want something comforting but still fresh and balanced.
On one of my first visits, I watched the staff prepare plates right behind the counter. Vegetables were chopped to order, meats were grilled in small batches, and sauces were ladled carefully instead of rushed. That attention to detail shows up on the menu. Dishes like shawarma, falafel, kebabs, and rice platters are made using methods commonly taught in Middle Eastern kitchens, where marinating meats overnight and slow-roasting proteins are standard practice rather than shortcuts. A chef once explained to me that letting spices bloom in olive oil before cooking enhances flavor without needing extra salt, and you can taste that technique here.
Mediterranean cuisine is often praised by nutrition experts, and for good reason. Research frequently referenced by organizations like Harvard Health Publishing links Mediterranean-style eating patterns to improved heart health and lower inflammation. Meals here lean heavily on olive oil, legumes, grilled vegetables, and lean proteins, which fits that model well. I noticed many customers customizing their plates, swapping fries for salad or adding hummus instead of heavier sauces, which makes the menu flexible for different dietary needs.
One memorable example came during a lunch rush when a regular customer asked for a bowl built specifically around protein and fiber. The staff suggested lentils, grilled chicken, tabbouleh, and tahini. That kind of interaction reflects real knowledge of ingredients, not scripted upselling. Reviews often mention how helpful the team is when explaining flavors to first-time visitors, especially for people unfamiliar with Mediterranean food.
The dining area itself is casual and relaxed. Itβs the kind of place where families, office workers, and solo diners all feel comfortable. Iβve overheard conversations about favorite locations for Mediterranean food across South Florida, and this grill frequently comes up as a go-to option in Pembroke Pines. Online reviews echo that sentiment, often highlighting consistency and portion size. One reviewer described their experience as authentic comfort food, which fits perfectly.
Another strength is consistency across visits. Iβve returned several times over the past year, ordering different items each time, and the quality hasnβt dipped. That reliability matters in the restaurant world. According to the National Restaurant Association, consistency is one of the top factors influencing repeat visits, and this place clearly understands that principle.
There are limits, of course. Seating can feel tight during peak hours, and parking gets busy, especially on weekends. Still, most diners seem willing to wait because the food delivers. The grill doesnβt try to reinvent Mediterranean cuisine or turn it into something trendy. Instead, it focuses on solid preparation, familiar flavors, and honest portions.
If youβre scanning menus or reading reviews to decide where to eat in Pembroke Pines, this restaurant stands out for its balance of flavor, nutrition, and approachability. Everything from the way the food is cooked to how itβs served suggests care rather than speed, and thatβs something you can taste in every bite described by many as fresh and deeply satisfying.

Damien did a great job servicing us. He was personable and very accommodating. He suggested this lavender lemonade and I took him up on his suggestion and was very pleased! It was great. Very refreshing and light. The food was so good. You really canβt go wrong with Mediterranean food. Inviting atmosphere as well.
The ambiance, service, and food all exceeded my expectations, and Sufrat instantly became one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants. Sebastian, our server, was attentive and made us feel welcome. The space is beautiful, and the design ties perfectly into the Mediterranean style. Our entire party fell in love with the foodβthe soft, warm pita with hummus, the seasoned fries, the shrimp, and the Greek saladβ¦ chefβs kiss! Oh, and the belly dancer was also a fun and unique touch to the evening!
Damian, our server, was wonderful. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. Loved the decor colors and thete was light music playing, relaxing, not loud. The food was very tasty with nice size portions. Really enjoyed the lemonade with rose water, the chicken shawarma and baklava for dessert. There is a free parking lot and the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining.
Sufrat Restaurant is absolutely wonderful! The food is delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavors. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are so kind and attentive. they truly make you feel like family. Everything from the service to the presentation was excellent. Ali was the server. This place is great Mediterranean food that is tasty without breaking the bank. Quality of the food is excellent while the staff treats you like welcomed family. They have happy hours (half off appetizers and drinks) M-F from noon to 6pm so you get a lot of value out of that. We had the hummus sampler, shawarma sushi, chicken gyro sandwich, gyro platter, and Moroccan mojito. Added more phots as of October 2025. Place is still great, my friend and I sat outside and had SugarBear take care of us.
